Skandamata is Fifth form of Navadurga and Mata is worshipped on Fifth Day of Navratri.
Skanda was son of Lord Shiva , also known as Kartikeya (Hindu God of War) so Mata is named as Skandamata.
Skandamata has four hands , One giving blessings , second holding ' Bal Skanda ' on her lap and other two hands are holding Lotus Flowers.
Skandamata has Trinetra in middle for her forehead.
Lion is vahaan of Skandamata.
Mata is has been seated on Lotus often and Mata is also referred as Padamasani.
